thebeis
Hello, I am delighted with the SC demo. In fact, I was going to by the retail version until I read the thread about SCII. My questions are "When is SCII coming out? and "Should I buy SC now or wait?" Thanks thebeis
Steve C
Welcome, thebeis. Release date for SC2 ? So far as I know, nothing is announced. Anyway, not anywhere near soon enough to wait for it, if you are delighted with the SC demo.
HankWWIIOnline
I would recommend just buying SC. It is cheap, and in the history of games I have bought, has the biggest 'bang for the buck'. Playing PBEM games has kept me playing this game month after month, never tiring of it.

pzgndr
Get out your VISA and go here now. Seriously, spend a few bucks and have fun now. There has been no official or unofficial announcement about SC2, other than Hubert is still thinking about it. No decisions yet on SC2 scale and scope, despite the many ideas and suggestions that have been posted in the past 6-8 months. Hopefully Hubert will announce something in the near future regarding the direction SC2 will take. But even if that happens tomorrow, there's still a boatload of work involved with programming and playtesting. I won't even hazard a guess at how long that may take before a new version goes gold. In the meantime, play SC.
jon_j_rambo
thebeis --- It's $25 & well worth every penny of it. The price of game means nothing to me (within reason) if it's good. What does it cost to goto the movies: $8.50 / 2 hours. What does it cost to play golf: $30.00 / 5 hours. This game should come with Surgeon General's Warning: this game is addictive. Tigleth Pilisar
There's no question - buy SC as soon as possible. And I agree with Rambo's Surgeon general's warning - although the key is playing other people and not the AI.
thebeis
After reading the replies, I took Bill's advice. Found the Visa and went there and ordered. Thanks for all the feedback! I was helpful. thebeis
