What games are similar to it ? We don't even know if it will be based on the European Theater, Pacific Theater, or on a world scale. Glad you enjoy the game and hope to play you sometime. pzgndr Posted May 30, 2003 Share Posted May 30, 2003 The Underdogs has a free download of Third Reich PC available. There is an active community of 3R players. Third Reich PC is a faithful adaptation of the Avalon Hill boardgame and has a half-decent AI, but the AI has its limitations. 3R has seasonal turns and only covers the European theater. ADG has a free beta demo of Computer World in Flames available. Like 3R, there is an active community of WiF players. Computer WiF is also a faithful adaptation of the boardgame but has no AI. WiF has 2-month turns with variable impulses and a worldwide map for fighting either the European or Pacific campaigns, or both. Shaka of Carthage Posted May 31, 2003 Share Posted May 31, 2003 As you may have seen me say before, but it doesn't hurt to say again, between xwormwood and Bill Macon, you have 95% of the last twenty-five (25) years or so of WWII Grand Strategy and Strategy games. With a couple of Strategy/Operational ones thrown in there as well. If you counted the Operational/Tactical ones, you would have many many more.
