endit Posted June 11, 2001 Share Posted June 11, 2001 I was reading the 4-24-2000-3:54pm post about the new movement. At the beginning I thought it was good, by the end of the tread I was confused again and not so enthusiastic. The thing I don't like (really the only thing) is when moving 15 tanks, 3 platoons, 10 trucks down a road to the front line, such as when reinforcements come. Now I have to pick every one and take it down the road. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to define say one to three routes that you can attach all the troops to and have them automatically follow to the back staging area of the front line activity???? From the thread, it appears as CM2 is going to be just like CM1. If you use the group thing, the troops on the left will go left of the bridge, and the troops on the right will go right of the bridge, while real troops would move to the bridge & cross it not through the ditches on each side (this is a movement order, in an area already cleared out of enemy).
