Sgt Homer
Hello, I am quite new to this game and have so much to learn. Could someone define what makes a tactic 'gamey'? I am playing a PBEM scenario (Ham & Jam) with a load of German conscripts. We are defending a bridge, this is the only access between my units and the enemy (British). I hit upon the idea of sending over a couple of trucks to block the road, therefore preventing an advance from the British side. Could this be termed 'gamey'? I certainly would not wish to do that, I thought it was an inspired move, but a friend said it may be 'gamey'. Thanks,
chrisl
I don't think I would call that gamey-- unfortunately you can't voluntarily abandon the trucks. It also isn't likely to have much, if any, effect besides getting the trucks killed--they won't be a barrier to the advancing brits. That's a tough scenario to play from the German side. Hopefully you're playing the revised version that at least has the visibility restricted by night. ------------------ "I HATE THIS GAME, YOU AND THIS SCENARIO" -jd
Dirtweasle
I've tried used a gun damaged tank to block a bridge in the Veghel scenario durring PBEM. It did'nt work out very well though.
Cos
The trucks will just slow down things, if the brits bring up armor they will push the trucks out of the way. Might slow them enough for an ambush, but won't stop them. ------------------ Cos
