RobboK
Hi I have a query or two qbout how the op plays... 1. In the 1st battle I completely wiped out the axis forces. I took about 25% casualties using mainly flanking attacks. 2. In the night battle that followed, nothing happened and the battle ended after 15 os so turns telling me I had 100 or so casualties. 3. Same for the 3rd battle. 4. Last battle the axis counterattacked, with what seemed like 2 platoons and 2 stugs. They were defeated. The entire map remained in my hands and I suffered a minor defeat. Does this seem "normal"? Where can I get some feedback on what generally is supposed to happen in this op? Thanks Rob
kenfedoroff
I am guessing that the victory was not fast enough to become a victory... In other words, you had to accomplish the objective one battle sooner than what you did it in. This happened to me in another Op (except I was on the receiving end of a shellacking from my PBEM opponent). I thought my opponent achieved total victory, but it ended a "Draw". The author of the scenario explained that indeed, the objective had to be taken sooner, so I am guessing this happened to you, too. I've never seen it explained just how victory is calculated for Ops, but obviously from our experience with them, speed is essential. Maybe the author will stop by and explain it (or perhaps you could e-mail him). Hope this helps, Ken
Andreas
As designer of that op, all I can say is that I have no clue. This one should not have made the CD, something is clearly broken in it.
