8TLP
It is pretty obvious that wheat does not provide cover but how well does it provide concealment? Any thoughts on this? Would it matter to sneak vs move to get to a point via a wheat field. I assume noise is a consideration but what about visual contact? Is it wise to move vehilces across a wheat field vs the open ground? TIA 8TLP
Joshik
I recall playing WBW's Bocage scenario (excellent, by the way) and having two squads of US hidden in a wheat field. A German squad wandered in and got to within 20-30 meters before I had my guys pop up and nail them. Within 5 seconds, I decimated their squad. Hiding in a wheatfield works wonders, as long as you're not spotted! --Joshik
Wesreidau
From memory, wheatfields have different concealment values dependent on the time of year...which makes a lot of sense..
