Pvt.Tom Posted March 28, 2001 Share Posted March 28, 2001 I was looking over the American weapons today and noticed that the 40mm Bofors has a bigger blast value than the 76mm Sherman gun, this seems a little off to me, I don't have any hard info but why would you be able to pack as much explosives into a 40mm shell as a 76mm shell? Is the 40mm shell a lot longer than the 76mm? The Bofors must be Hell on infantry with a blast of 34 nd a high rate of fire. An info any of the experts might have would be great. I think CM models each man in a squad separately so I would think that having each 40mm shell tracked separately would cause more damage than having 1 big shell?
