Moreover if I occupy a VL on one side of the map and the bad guys are say 2000 meters away, do the bad guys now know that I have possession of the said VL (and troops in the area) by way of the flag turning from neutral to my national flag? Buckeye Posted May 8, 2001 Share Posted May 8, 2001 VLs do not show the opposing flag unless they are known to occupy it. They typically show as a question mark until it is clear whose possession they are in. They can even look as if they belong to you when the space is occupied by your opponent if his troops are hidden and have not been spotted (e.g., are in a building waiting to ambush you).
