Yowie
What happens when I move infantry into a knocked out pillbox or bunker? How much additional cover will such abandoned structures offer (if at all) comparing with open ground?
lcm1947
Can you even do that? I never even thought to try it but I'll keep an eye on this post to see if it's actually possible. Boy I hope so. That would be cool to be able to man an abandoned bunker.
Yowie
Can't I move units back in? It's just a wild thought. If its possible, what about having addition units squeeze into a bunker? Wouldn't it be nice if you can station a panzerschreck inside a MG bunker? (assuming it doesn't burn/choke everyone inside when firing)...
lcm1947
I think it's a great idea and hope somebody sees this post and thinks the same. I was actually thinking about the Allied's being able to take one over and start raising cane from it. Now that would be cool.
MrSpkr
In real life, the Allied soldiers often used th German bunkers for cover -- see Charles MacDonald's excellent book, "Company Commander" - IIRC, when he first took command of his company, his CP was in an abandoned German bunker. The bunker was facing the wrong direction to use in its intended role, but it made a good shelter from the occasional 81mm round. Unfortunately, BTS does not model this -- once a bunker is knocked out, it is treated like an abandoned vehicle -- it cannot be reentered. Michael Emrys
Sorry guys, IIRC pillboxes, bunkers, etc. are treated like vehicles, and we all know about remanning those, don't we? Michael

I imagine it'll be too late for BTS to to modify the engine to allow that...
lcm1947
Well I don't think it's fair and I want to talk to some high-up about it. NOW! Well now I feel better. Sorry for the burst.
