Second2None
Does the full version support direct connection between two computers via parallel cable?

Guest Scott Clinton
Stand corrected! TCP/IP will be in a future patch, True. But it will NOT be in the soon to be released v1.03 patch. I suspect at least another month, possibly two for the TCP/IP patch. ------------------ Please note: The above is solely the opinion of 'The Grumbling Grognard' and reflects no one else's views but his own. Manx
Thanks Scott....here was me thinking that TCP/IP functionality would be implemented with v1.03. As far as i'm concerned (and many others) this should be added now, not later. ------------------ COMBAT MISSIONS- The Source For CM Ops & Scenarios WWW.COMBATMISSIONS.CO.UK
Guest Scott Clinton
All I know is what I have read Fionn and Moon and a few other Beta dudes post. As for TCP/IP now VS later... Are you guys the same ones that 'voted' late last year for an 'early release' and to wait for the TCP/IP patch??? From what BTS has posted about this issue they will have to completely rework the TCP/IP procedure for CM from what they had originally intended on using (a version from their earlier games). This is NOT like swatting bugs, making AI tweaks or even adding a few small enhancements (like what v1.03 will do). The addition of TCP/IP is a completely new aspect to be ADDED to the game. Just to be a pessimist, if they run in to major problems, their stated 1-2 month estimate COULD run into the holiday season before we are all playing on-line with no problems. ------------------ Please note: The above is solely the opinion of 'The Grumbling Grognard' and reflects no one else's views but his own.
