Guest major_tom Posted March 17, 2000 Share Posted March 17, 2000 I love this game I really do, I am a huge MAC addict and think this is a great game and it will be a huge hit when it is released. I would compare it favourably to Myth II which I also like. BUT... (I know this is just my lack of effort) how do you band box??, or select group of units on the MAC and give them all the same orders. I cannot shift to add units selected and cannot figure out how to make a selection around a group of units. Please someone share with me the secret (I am presuming it can be done) I have played Chance Encouter from both sides and find the German has a very difficult time when I choose that side , but if I choose to play the American's and fast move all 5 shermans to the high ground in the middle of the map on the first and second turn I can "hunt" them in hull down positions very qucikly in the second turn and KILL at least two out of his three Stugs very early I have never lost this scenario as the americans. I think the fire power of the 5 shermans balances that scenario in favour of the Americans (just my opinion mind you) So.... When can we play with another demo scenario? please just one more, how about re-releasing Chance Encounter with more tanks for both sides in a more balanced fashion how about 7 shermans vs. 5 Stugs and a Tiger tank with equal supporting infantry now that I think would be a fair battle... Guest rune Posted March 17, 2000 Share Posted March 17, 2000 You cannot because it wasn't in the beta build. The group function came later from beta tester feedback [i think]. You will be able to play another scenario, but only when the gold demo is released which means after the ga,e is done. As mentioned all over the board, the format of the game has changed and the demo scenarios are no longer compatible. To try to convert a scenario from what we have to the build you are on is near impossible. This has been covered in other posts, so won't go into it more here.
