RobVarak
Just picked up Tank Versus Tank: The Illustrated Story of Armored Conflict In The Twentieth Century. While I haven't had a chance to do more than page through it, it looks like quite a find. There are a ton of photos, wonderful cut-aways and diagrams of several key tanks, and terrific battle descriptions with great maps. There are special sections on gun/armor relationships, descriptions of the various types of anti-tank rounds (always a confusing point for me), and sidebars on various famous tank men. The author, Maj. Kenneth Macksey, MC, is a former RTR officer. The date of publication is 1999. I haven't seen it mentioned here before, so I just thought I'd point it out. PS Just finished Von Mellenthin's Panzer Battles, which was very good. ------------------ Rob Varak Editor Site on Sound: The Web's Premier Site For Musical Discussion www.siteonsound.com
