Official slope dope...

For infantry, there penalty for moving in 'slope' terrain, either up or down. I don't know when normal ground becomes slope, but I think it is pretty extreme angles.

For vehicles (which cannot traverse 'slope' terrain at all) - a penalty only for going up, not down. It's dependent on exact grade.

aacooper, terrain is in 20x20 tiles. That is not likely to change any time soon (do a search on Terrain for more info). Water takes up less than that, but is not as tiny as a stream. Elevation is varriable within a 20x20 tile depending on neighboring elevations.

Bullethead, no... although it is an abstraction, slopes do not discriminate between different types of vehicles. As you say, something like a JPzIV was at a disadvantage in some cases vs. something like a Sherman. The physics and modeling that would be required to simulate this would probably kill the CPU several times over smile.gif Plus, then the AI would have to be coded to understand this element, and that is the hardest of all things to code and have the CPU be happy with.
