If you haven't then you are missing out. This is one of the cool new features that the Annex offers and will keep you current on what, when, where updates are posted. My cable provider provides me with plenty of bandwith but have this nasty habit of switiching my IP address every month or so. Since the internet DNS servers use your IP address to resolve the proper domain name (in this case cmhq.tzo.com) you need a way to automatically have that forwared when your IP changes. Thats where the tzo moniker comes from. They make sure (for a price) that all the DNS servers will alwyas point at my server no matter what IP address I have. I will probably eventually register my own domain but since CMHQ.com is already taken (some sort of lame consulting firm that dont even have a page up yet) it would require redoing my entire site as many of my internal links point to cmhq.tzo.com/ and really isnt worth the hassle, at least not yet. So just like BTS, I am spending my money so you guys can enjoy Combat Mission! Dont worry, its not much...Now the chat software I am looking at, thats going to be a different story... Grtz S Bakker. I set up my own NT server and subdomain for a variety of reasons. A). I needed to learn how to do so in order to maintain my level of expertise in the IT world. . I was growing frustrated with TGN as they were not meeting my needs, this however has been mostly resolved as of late, thankfully. C). I wanted to have a site where I had TOTAL control and if I wanted to tell someone to BITE ME in large 50 point bold script, I could. Well I guess I could have always done that but now I can do so with a clear conscience D). I needed a site where I could run cgi and perl scripts without having to obtain special permission. Thats how the Annex can host the automated news, advanced features and eventually the Ladder system. and the most important reason of all: E). Because I CAN!
