Howitzer
I'm sure someone knows the answer to this... I have noticed that my (German) halftracks in LD cannot make it over the low stone wall by the wheatfield in the German setup area. My question is this: Assuming a (heavier, more robust) tank can breech such a wall, can the halftracks then move through the breeched portion? Thanks, Steve C. Fionn
Nope breaching and the consequent change in characteristics of the breached portion isn't modelled in CM1. Not a bad idea to add to the list though
Guest Big Time Software
Yup, not modeled. This is something that in theory we would like to put in, but in reality is oh so very difficult and not nearly as relevant as you might think. The average wall I can think of would not be breechable by a HT after a single heavy tank went over it. Tanks tend to leave a pile in the middle if their tracks actually displace what they are driving over, but generally don't displace very much. Tanks are designed to go OVER obsticles, not through them like a bulldozer. Since the average WWII tank is about twice as wide as a HT this would most likely not leave a path suitable for an HT to cross through.
