Major Tom
Today is the birthday of the Canadian Flag. On February 15, 1962(?) the modern day Canadian flag was proclaimed our national symbol. O Canada, our home and native land...

Richard III
Birthday of the current lame leaf flag. Chosen over the much cooler original flag:
Major Tom
Much cooler? Are you on crack?!? Why copy the British, (like Australia, New Zealand, etc..) when you can come up with a lovely original?
Trooper
Oh, I don't know.. I don't think you can really confuse ignorance with not caring. I recall once I wrote an article many moons ago published in a wargaming magazine, and whilst I got the year of independance right, I rather screwed up the year of the establishment of the country whose uniform I wore by just over 20 years. Quite a margin considering how young the Irish Republic is.. Fortunately, it was rather immaterial to the article in question, it being a TO&E of Irish forces. Suffice to say, I was most embarrased when I found out my mistake. (Only the week the thing came out, too) DWH Manic Moran

Guest Ol' Blood & Guts
Now here's a beautiful flag! ------------------ "I want you to remember that...no bastard ever won a war...by dying for his country...He won it...by making the other poor dumb bastard...die for his country."--George S.
