Clinton Posted August 3, 2001 Share Posted August 3, 2001 Hello, my name is Clinton Jones. Last night 8/1/01 at around 5:00pm cst I ordered TacOps using my Credit Card. I got disconnected twice during the procedure. When I proceded to checkout, it said "Your order has already been processed" or something like that. I havent recieved an e-mail confomation as I did when I bought Combat Mission. I was just wanting to make sure that my order had went through and if not I will need to place it again I suppose. There was a time on 8-1 that work was being conducted on the server and I think you were trying to place your order during that time. If you didn't get a page that was a summary of your order or an email confirmation than your order was not placed. Just to be sure, wait for further confirmation from Steve that there is not an order for you, but he looks at the same logs as I do and I don't see you in them. I double checked and indeed... your order was not received. We experienced some sort of software failure (still no clue what happened!) on our end and the store was down for about 12 hours before we became alerted to the problem. It would appear that you were trying to place your order right around the time it failed. The message about your order being processed was incorrect. The system might have thought your order was completed at that time, but it did not in fact clear through the authorization process. Sometime right after that the whole store system went offline until we rebooted the server the next day. Unfortunately, this means you will have to return to our website and place a new order. If for ANY REASON two charges show up on your credit card, contact me and I will remove one right away. Augustus Allen Posted August 9, 2001 Share Posted August 9, 2001 Major H, I have had a similar problem with ordering TacOps through the mail. This was quite some time ago (last summer, I think) and by no means do I expect my money back, but I did send in $20.00 + $8.00 s/h for a copy of the game, but I never recieved it. Is there a possibility that this could be investigated as well? This experience is preventing me from placing a second order, so any feedback would be nice.
