Guest MajorH
I just put two zipped bmp artwork files into my TacOps ftp testing folder at Battlefront.com for any Mac users who are experimenting with the Type2 map editor. The file titled 'N Fort Irwin.zip' (2 megs) is a 24 km by 27 km piece of NTC. The file titled 'Marton NZ.zip' (8 megs) is a 46 km by 30 km piece of New Zealand. FYI ... the tight maze of solid black lines on this map are not roads. They are fences. Wish I had the fence franchise in New Zealand . The maps have already been scaled to the TacOps map scale and have been skewed/rotated so that the UTM grid is true to TacOps NSEW. _///////////////////////////// To ftp download thse files ... 1. Fire up your Internet browser. 2. Enter the following URL into the address line of your browser ... http://www.battlefront.com/resources/secure/tacops/ 3. You should then get a popup dialog that asks you to enter a userid and a password. Enter the following keys (all in lowercase) ... Userid: tacops Password: tacops30 4. You should then see a directory structure in your browser window. Click on each zipped map file and it should be automatically downloaded to wherever your browser puts downloads. 5. You are done. ------------------ Best regards, Major H majorh@mac.com
