Slapdragon
http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/14967.html While Mac users and Linux users have, at least at the high end, had machines with large amounts of RAM (my first was a 9600 with 768mb in 1997) low RAM costs and new Windows machines with 4 RAM slots combined with high density RAM chips has meant that the high end for Windows, and soon even the middle ground that many gamers live in, is catching up with the industrial / professional operating systems like Unix variants and MacOS. For most CM gamers, no big deal. But if you work and game at the same time like I do, and thus like to have a big RAM footprint to keep all this aps open in, you should either upgrade to Windows 2000 or look at the Register's suggestions for how to work around the memory limitation of Windows 9x variants.
