coe
Was it the case that observers, bazooka teams had some kinds of guns on them? I figure in close combat do they automatically die, or is there a chance they might inflict casualties before dying. Also, are bayonets factored in to the gunfire factor (at close range) esp for units low on ammo?
Ash
I've been wondering about the bazooka question too, what about mortar teams, you'd think they'd be issued m1 or m2 carbines or garands as defense. ------------------ The names Ash, Housewares
CoolColJ
Coe There is hand to hand combat - I guess bayonents are factored there. ------------------ CCJ aka BLITZ_Force My Hompage ----> http://www.geocities.com/coolcolj Double your immersion with my Tweaked Textures and Saving Private Ryan sound set mods for CM!! Gen. Sosaboski
You know, I had an interesting thing happen to me about this subject. I was playing Riesberg as Germans and there was this real annoying 30 cal. the Amis had. They were using it to creep nearer to my helpless 88 (armed only with AP now) and to pick off its crew. I took my nearest Panzerschreck team and said "Hey, they can at least attract some fire and keep the MMGs head down till the end" (it was turn 28). Anyway, they caused one causalty with their remaining rocket. I then made them move to the MMG. Indeed, after taking one casualty, the team wiped out the rest of the MMGs team (2). However, a squad of riflemen came over and killed the remaining brave German . But, I won becuase of their sacrifice. So, what did the Germans do? Pull out unauthorized pistols, or whack the Americans over the head with the empty launcher and tubes? ------------------ Sosabowski, 1st Pol. Abn. Yes, I know my name is spelled wrong as a member!
