buddy
Seems like it would be possible for the mod makers to place extra items on the tanks/vehicle mods like bushes and branches for camo purposes and extra equipment (that you always see lashed in some fashion to a vehicle). I think it would add something to the look of the vehicles - it would enhance the uniqueness of the mod and give a realistic feel to the vehicle. After all, what you don't stick on a vehicle you have to carry yourself...whatdya think?
The Commissar
They realize this, but they also realize that any such addition would look 2D since it would be only a skin. A 2d "bush" on a tank isn't very good to look at, and since they can't do it in 3D, they dont do it at all.
Guest Madmatt
Anything on the vehicle will need to have artifical shadows and such to give it depth as the textures themselves are flat, streched out across the various model faces. For relatively thin objects like spare tracks and tools it works out ok. For respectable physical camo and brush it would not look so hot. It will look much like its painted on since the physical *shape* of the tank can not be altered. Madmatt ------------------ If it's in Combat Mission, it's on Combat Mission HQ! buddy
OK, roger that. Thanks for the explanation - oh, by the way, the Allied and Axis newspapers for the Meta Campaign thing are excellent ideas...didn't make the cut for round 1 but at least I can read about it!
