Guest Der Unbekannte Jäger
Okay I just have a quick question. I am just watching Saving Private Ryan, and this is the first time watching it since I have been spoiled by CM so I have been a little critical of it. However since I am not a grognard I wasn't sure of something: the Tigers in the movie appear to have the Zimmerite (SP?) coating on them and I was under that impression that it was no longer placed on later war vehicles. Am I totally out to lunch on this one? Any help would be welcome. ------------------ "I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend, to the death, your right to say it." Måkjager
Zimmerit was autorised to be used on the Tiger 1 from September 1943 and continued to be used until at least August 1944. Hope this clears it up for you. Måkjager ------------------ Once an Ubërcabbage Always an Ubërcabbage
