P.S. When I stupidly sent a Sherman in point-blank direct attack on an AT gun and was flaked & immobilized, my crew abandoned and, on their own with .45's blazing, they assaulted and captured the gun & crew. A +1 makes Regulars to Veterans (even if they are still shown as Regulars, they perform as Veterans; i.e. shorter command delays, better coolness-under-fire, etc.). I usually set it to +1 (+2 if the AI is on attack) to account for the AI not being able to keep its squads in command.
