PacifistButLikeWarGames
I think a useful addition to area fire would be a counter to set the number of rounds/bursts to be fired. I have often watched my units keep pumping precious rounds into an area that I really only wanted 1 or 2 shots fired at.
skullstacker6
Its quite normal to get more rounds than you bargained for. The Section SGT makes the descision on how many rounds to fire based on the target description. Remember he's trying to save someone's butt in a hurry (better too much than too little)and the kill radius of a 60mm mortar is not very large (more like a grenade on serious steroids). F.Y.I. Our rifle company 60mm mortarmen would only carry a max of 10rnds. per man. The rest are distributed one per soldier in the remainder of the 125 man company. ------------------ JASON A. Guest Mr. Johnson-<THC>-
thanks for the info, Skull. Don't the 101st use the 120mm mortar also? If so is it with the company or larger fromation. Not fun dragging that thing 20 miles on foot.
