RizlaD
I was recently testing a scenario I am designing. I had a Vickers MG in a light building on a river bank. There were german troops 60m away on the other side of the river. Somehow my MG was captured and disarmed. I managed to recapture him but he wasn't of any use because he didn't have a weapon. I wan't to know how he could be captured from 60m over a river. Thanks RizlaD
Mark IV
He surrendered. That doesn't mean they physically grabbed him and tied him up. He just got sick of whatever they were throwing at him, and threw up his hands, and said "I give...". From that time on he is listed as captured. Guest ACTOR
What experience level was the unit? Green, Regular, Veteran, etc. That may make a difference as well.
Kingfish
A follow up to ACTORS question: What was his morale state? Was he under fire? Pinned? Did he have the dreaded "!"? Also, was he able to retreat under cover? Vickers teams are very slow, and if their only choice was surrender or stroll across that wide, open field behind them... ------------------ Charlie don't surf! RizlaD
Behind the building was scattered trees and he was a regular. Was the reason he was unarmed because he just left the MG behind?
Guest ACTOR
All captured units are unarmed.
Mark IV
Could be the MG was knocked out, and the crew surrendered afterward?
Buzzsaw
I think the crew soiled their pants and then threw the MG in the river.
