ZEUS
Hello Looks like this is my first post here. I am playing the scenario "victory at vignory" at the moment. Did Somebody already play it commanding german forces ? My Panzers IV got their *sses kicked so painfully by churchills AFVs that I am feeling something is going wrong. As an old wargamer I don't remember those AFV were so effective at long range. Four of the panzers IV were knocked down at 1 km range before they were given a real chance to strike back. What bugs me the most is how good these AFVs are at spotting enemy forces ambushing behind an orchard and able to shoot straight before the static defense's supposed ability to shoot first. Is there something wrong here ? Should players on defense systematically forfeit their ability to strike first because of what seems superior attacker's ability to spot things at long range ? If this is the case Anti-tank defense is going to be a nightmare in this game. Is that realistic ? What i your opinion on the subject, wargamer ?
