Michael T
I am new to CMBfN. Great game but why is the in game text so hard to read? It seems to blur or become blocky.I play a lot of PC games and have not encountered this before. Are my monitor settings wrong? Is there a fix for this?
c3k
Ahhh...Sounds like a video card "effect". Nvidia's FXAA has been the culprit for my games. If you use Nvidia, open the control panel and turn off FXAA. You can do this for JUST CMBN under Nvidia's control panel "program settings". If you need more info, post a reply and I'll walk you through it. Ken

Michael T
Ok I fixed up my laptop with your suggestion. It has Nvidia Graphics. But my new desktop PC is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. It says I have a Intel HD Graphics 4600 Adapter. I went in to the control panel for this device and I can't find any such FXAA setting? I saw a setting for 'Clear Text'. Not sure what that is. Any help would be welcomed.
c3k
Two possibilities: is the HD 4600 set to the same resolution as the display's native resolution? (It is probably okay, but something to check...)More likely, you have CMAA turned on. (Conservative Morphological Anti-Aliasing) Look for it in the 3D section of the Intel Graphics control panel. Turn it off and see if it helps. Some links: http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-004668.htmhttps://communities.intel.com/thread/56238?start=0&tstart=0http://downloadmirror.intel.com/24245/eng/ReleaseNotes_GFX_15_36_3907.pdf#_ga=1.31757950.1392818115.1381520875Ken
Michael T
Not having much luck. I updated my Adapter driver and Display driver. Turned off CMAA and still no improvement. It's late now so I will look at your links tomorrow. Thanks very much for your help sir.
c3k
You may want to move this thread to the Tech Support forum. There are folks there (*cough* Schrullenhaft *cough, cough*) with MUCH greater computer and graphics knowledge and skills than I have.At least you can be comforted by the thought that any issues are due to your settings, not the game.
