Ithai
Is ther any scenario that uses skirmish lines? I read about them in Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. I was just curious.
Fionn
Skirmish line is the name given to a spread out line of infantry (usually advancing in front of the main body). It's a formation which you can create simply by not bunching your squads up but isn't something which can be included in a scenario by a designer like a bunker could. A skirmish line is more a tactic than a feature. I could teach you to use them in a scenario by creating a point defence of a house with 8 HMGs in it. If you bunched up an approached u'd die... if you use a skirmish line then only those within 200 metres of the house would die. ------------------ ___________ Fionn Kelly Manager of Historical Research, The Gamers Net - Gaming for Gamers
