Thomas Davie Posted February 14, 1999 Share Posted February 14, 1999 I was discussing CM with a friend from work, and he asked me if the game would support multiple monitors; Mac or IBM. So, I told him I'd ask for him. On my IBM I just bought an MX300 soundcard from Diamond Multimedia. It's 3d this, surround that, multiple speakers outputs, etc etc. Will the gane have any support for advanced sound systems? Thanks Tom Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Although possible in theory, it would require custom coding on our part. And you would still have to have a very high end PC/Mac to handle all the extra calculations. 3D cards pick up a crud load, but they still leave a whole mess of calcs to the CPU. 3D sound is available to all Macs and any PC that has a sound card supported by DX6's Direct Sound. Yours most likely falls into this category. And there is a huge difference when playing in stereo, let me tell you!!
