What about the courage and fortitude campaign?
This is the original allied campaign correct? Does this have any issues with 3.0?

After making it past the first few missions in Kampfgruppe Engle before realizing it was bugged and had to download the new fixed one.
I would just like to confirm what other campaigns have been bugged since 3.0???
I understand there is a battle pack on the horizon to fix this but I would like to play another CMBN campaign, and I would like one that currently isn't bugged with 3.0, getting my ass handed to me in Kampfgruppe Engle without realizing I was suppose to have tanks was lol at first but I don't really want to go through this again.

If someone could open there CMRT try a quick battle and let me know how they managed to get barbed wire if possible or if there is some rule Im not aware of?

There is no barb wire to choose fro pm in the force selection screen....
But there is in the scenario editor.
Is this a bug or intended?
I'd be very surprised if this was intended.

You should see more MP44s in the later time periods. When you use the Panzer Brigades you will see them and you should see plenty with the Volksgrenadiers.

Also I have CMFI and CMBN all modules but yet to play them, But I have had a look at rosters and I could not find Volksgrenadier at all. I would have thought they would be late in CMBN but no, is another case of I'm retarded?

Ive tried experimenting with with German troops cant see a difference at all.
Not a big deal, I have just been surprised by the lack of mp43/44 in this game, But the devs who make this game clearly know more then me historically and I see no reason why they would not put them in UNLESS it was historically inaccurate to do so.
I think I'm always going to have this option set to excellent from now on in just in case...

Yeah the Blunting the Spear campaign is well worth it when you get to that last level.
I had about 95% of my panthers, 30% of my mark 4's, 50% of my infantry, probably less in half tracks....
But still got a major victory campaign wise.
It is a large campaign though and I don't think people who are new to combat mission in general should start there.

It depends on the formation, and the available weapons.
A unit equipped with mostly K98's isn't going to benefit much from 'excellent' equipment.
However, if you have units equipped with many different types of weapons, the equipment selection makes a difference, both in small arms, and portable antitank weapons availability. Not a 'huge' difference, but a noticeable one.
For example, a unit set to 'poor' equipment might have mostly K98's and no Panzerfausts, while a unit set to 'excellent' equipment will have G43's, StG44's, maybe an extra LMG, and a few Panzerfausts.
Are you able to give me an example of a formation where i can test this? I have tried Panzer grenadiers multiple times but see 0 difference.....

I just had a game, were i sent a 5 mam engineer team on move down a road, no enemy forces at all, no mines found.
Sent my only flame t34 down, hit a mine and died, but the sign is white with a green cross??
What does white with a green cross mean??
So this I guess is also askin, is there a way to tell the difference between mines IF engineers find them before detonating them?

what is this drop down menu DIRECTLY under the formation/specialist team menu?
I stumbled across another thread where people were saying that changing this increases the chance that troops spawn with STG44 so I was curious.
The manual says quote:
Equipment Quality Dropdown Menu
You can set the general equipment available for the troops you purchase with one
click on the dropdown menu, ranging from Typical (for that force and period),
through Poor and Excellent. To finetune the selection after your purchase, read
the next section “Toolbar”BUT the options are Typical/Poor/Excellent etc which is confusing. I cant find a single formation/unit where changing THIS drop down menu changes anything in units or costs.
I know you can select a formation and choose on map off map mortar etc or what type guns or tanks from the bottom of the screen, soft factors and yes that changes rarity and price of formation.
But this bar does nothing I spent an hour playing with it or am I completely lost/retarded?
What is the point of this drop down menu? and is there a way to increase spawn chance of STG44 or was this thread I read wrong.

Is there a way?
1. I understand you can use pioneers to mark mines to get infantry through but what if they are anti tank mines? As i understand you cant mark mines for tanks meaning if there are tank mines somewhere there is nothing you can do about it? Should I being using move or hunt when using pioneers to find mines?
2. Is there a way to tell if the mines the engineers find are personnel or AT ?
I would have thought you can blow them but only works when theirs an obstacle around TO blow????
3. I played a scenario where there were a lot of personnel mines so I just used my t-34's to clear them, unfortunately I didn't know theirs a high chance of destroying there tracks, so that's no valid tactic, any vehicles in CMRT that are good for clearing personal mines?
I have done some searching and found you can use 152 artillery to clear but.... don't see that being a valid tactic.

Hmmm, I see you started a PBEM game with someonelse and not me...I Understand :-(
You can do a quick test by playing a QB against yourself ( not actually playing it, but rather keeping hitting the done button for both sides ), then do the same with an actual Scenario to see the difference...I believe you will only see the Parameters after you select your force.

Yes I know that but I wanted to know if it was intentional to hide if someone was Infantry only vs Mixed/Armor only, or if the force modifier was in advantage or disadvantage
Because there is no way to know this until after you choose your force.
Also no way of telling difficulty setting at all until game actually starts??

When playing PBEM, and your opponent sets a game....
How do you see the game settings???
As in
Force composition (infantry only, armor only etc)
Difficulty (warrior,veteran etc)
Force adjustment???
I can see this after you select your force, but not before?? is this intentional? why?
Is there anyway at all to view difficulty during game?

Great thanks, sounds like an uninstall bug. I'll look at it. WTII does check for an appropriate version of Java and then try to install it, if it is not there yet.

Bandwidth limits? Did you run the uninstall program? If you did then there must be a bug in it. What version of windows are you running? If you did not then the issue is the launch short cut in the start up program group that no longer connects to anything.
Sorry, i think it may have been dropbox that had the limits, you see this is why I decided to go back to one step at a time lol.
I ran the uninstall from programs and features.
Im win7 64bit.
I dont really care about the start up error message atm as I will be re installing WTii when I have a better understanding of dropbox in general, otherwise im just confusing myself and others, but i will tell you the exact error message next time I start up if you like.
All I did to uninstall was uninstrall from programs and features, nothing else.
Edit: WTii also needed java 7 update 60 64-bit to work? Cause I had to downlaod that.

Load times for this game aren't the best....my drop box folder is on a normal hard disc, Would puting my drop box folder on an SSD help?
The game itself is on an SSD, I'd prefer drop box on a normal disc but if its going to improve load times I will move to SSD. As I dont know how drop box and this game work, will moving Drop box folder to a SSD help at all?
Ok now that I know a bit more, I conclude this was a dumb question.
The game does not access drop box, it access the save game file which is in the public folder, which CM helper moves.
So drop box on an SSD would make 0 difference in game load times.
On that note I have read the guides etc etc, but any graphic settings that make a load of difference in load times in both game menu or nvidia/ATI control panels? My computer is pretty powerful.
I have it setup with the games on an SSD and the turns on a normal drive. I have not experimented with trying things on the SSD drive but given the size of the turn files and the load times I strongly suspect that the speed is more CPU bound that IO bound. There is ton of number crunching going on in CM so the CPU is usually the bottle neck. I usually have a fair number of PBEM games going on in multiple titles so what I do is fire up at turn in one title and before I play I start loading another turn in a second title. Then when I am done I start loading another turn and then switch to the second title which of course is long ready to go. Rinse and repeat. I can do that because I have lots of memory on my machine so that would not have worked on my old machine that only had 4Gb.

I tried using both CM helper and WTii to compare, but was messing things up and getting myself confused so I deleted WTii for now.
even though I have removed it I get error messages when windows now starts about it, have not looked into it much but it seems hard to uninstal.
I did use it a bit and I will be trying it again as there was 2 main features I liked over CM helper thus far.
-The ability to minimize into system tray without having it open on the taskbar.
-The bandwidth limits.
But I was unable to compare it to CM helper properly as Dropbox and renaming folders in dropbox was causing my confusion so once I get my head around that I will be trying it again for those two features at least, and to compare on wehich one I decide to use.
Not sure if CM helper has those features?

Has anyone here managed to get the game working via linux??
I have already done a search and didn't like the answers it produced, so now I'm asking if anyone knows of a way?
This game is the only reason I still have Windows/Spyware/Virus, not to sure what it's called anymore.
