Some of us have been experiencing graphical glitches due to the AMD drivers. The latest version seem to solve these issues.

i know , or i guess that x2 engine is limited and all that stuff,but its not something uber crazy
when tiger fires and hits soldiers,there can be 0.2 seconds of nothing and then bam legs and arms go into air or just appear somewhere near
it would add to the atmosphere, now it doesnt need to be gory as hell but still..
and it would be really good bang for back feature

What I can say is we're focusing this Upgrade on long standing requests. I can think of one that was first suggested sometime around 1998.

I am left wondering about your mental stability. There is no indication, implicit or explicit, that you were joking, sarcastic, or trying to make a deep statement on the horrors of war. Instead, you've posted a statement expressing a desire to see children in battle, with all that entails.

Agree. It all comes down to US having better, and more optics equipment. Even all US infantry weapons come with some type of a scope vs. the iron sights of most Russian weapons so i do notice US infanty spots better. In this regard in a UKR vs RUS fight the infantry spotting should be much different, or at least I have not noticed much difference.
just had a real time cmBS urban small battle, i was russian and opponnet was american. whata disaster was that
t90Am waiting for abrams to arrive and hit him in his side armour, waiting for 1 minute,bam, abrams comes rotates in 0.1 seconds and blows up t90am
2nd scene: 4 americans slaughter half the platoon or routs them (all my forces and crews were crack/extreme)
3rd scene: rpg crack/extreme misses abrams, distance: 10 meters ,abrams natually then exterminate half the platoon
and i am not even bad player
i duuno what to think

We will add Volkssturm and Hitler Jugend units when the timeframe is right for their inclusion. We had Volkssturm in CMBO/CMBB as well. However, we will not be adding child sized soldier models into the game. Even if we thought it was a good idea (it isn't), the game engine was deliberately designed to have no variability in soldier height. The reason for that is clear to see if you put a Squad behind a wall or in a building with windows. Do that and then think of how many CPU cycles, RAM for animations, and artist time would be needed to make sure different sized soldiers would behave correctly in relation to other game elements. If you need a hint, the word "prohibitively" should be worked into your answer

I know Volksturm and Hitler Jugend would probably be realistic forces the allies could encounter during the late war. But would I want to fight against kids and old men? Nah! A tad too realistic for my tastes. (We dont have civilians in game either)
i 'd love to see kids in combat mission bulge ,and kill them or send them to death
i imagine, whole company of green/conscript/-2/unfit kids sent as suicide scouts in multiplayer games (cos they are cheap)

as stagler said, multiplayer lobby, and i 'd add: functional,clean,intuitive,themed ,inviting,making games happen
would give soul for it , and give 10 dollars on top of that just as a gift
and all other features in v4 would make it even better

Good news. I have a question though: i own all CM games that there currently are and i plan on getting all that will be released. Will i have to buy the 4.0 upgrade for each game seperately or will one purchase be sufficient for all titles?
when u were upgrading CMBN and FI with 3.0 upgrade, you did it with the same upgrade (same Key) or you bought 2 different v3 Keys?

We've been running this one for 17 years and had a couple million posts. We're pretty comfortable and satisfied that we have a good handle on how this one should be run. You can run your own forums how you want to.
As for picking sides, to use the referee metaphor, sometimes it's necessary and sometimes it isn't. When I see a clear case of one side violating the rules of this Forum, you bet I'm going to take sides. Not doing so is stupid.
Taking sides establishes why certain behavior is not acceptable and/or productive. It holds the people who act in that way accountable for their actions. Not doing holding such people accountable sends a signal that unacceptable/unproductive behavior is fine to engage in. And yes, sometimes people disagree with a judgement, just as sometimes people disagree with a referee's call on the field. That's acceptable and it goes with the territory.
I find it rather humorous that the people complaining about being censored and treated poorly don't see the irony in the fact that they are allowed to complain on this Forum (such as this thread) without being censored or treated poorly. A clear case of the facts not supporting the charges.

seting up and using hamachi is rather easy
Download
install (wherever you want)
launch
and then Sign up (name,email,etc) it ll pop up
and then join any network you want
whole interface is this little box with few options
theres:join network
turn off /on hamachi
Create network
and some minor options like name and prefferences
by right clicking on (in this case,network's name is EB online) Network name (first room) and opening chat room, you talk to everyone ,and by right clicking on these names bellow you talk to those names (people)
and it looks like this:
also those numbers you see near people's names,its IP you type in when you want to play with someone in 'join network game' in Combat mission main menu screen
so for example if you arrange a battle with THEBEAST-PC, you would type: 24.124.241.3 (port is 7023)

DISCLAIMER: i am not promoting hamachi,if you know some better software with clean and simple interface ,ditch hamachi
i'd keep it simple,concrete points without unnecessary stories
1.throw 120 dollars on 1 hamachi 252 slot room which would last 1 year (12 months)
2.make a youtube video promoting it (nothing special), no need for hollywood effects or get some fanboy to make it
2a ask diplex heated to promote it in one video or someone who has lots of views, or better,ask everyone you know
3. post a sticky thread about it get people to talk about it
4.get some people to manage the network for free (like theres anything to manage really,a 10 year old could do it)
you would spend 120 dollars and few hours of your time and will probably get a large (for our non mainstream universe anyway) multiplayer comunity for Real time and Wego* (course,pbem wont be banned there,it ll boost pbem aswell) games
and those who want to play real time or wego, will get the actuall channce to play
i guess it would boost the community aswell
again,i dont wana be labeled as hamachi propagandist,as i said, i am mentioning hamachi because its on my mind atm

no you dont need to do anything,hamachi will provide us IP . just need to make account and login (and ofcourse find someone who is willing to play in that room)

this website is different than others,its clean,simple and functional, it also focuses on the maps/scenarios,without giving attention to the less important things
you have a simple ,clean "download' button and then you can choose whatever you want

It is not about taking sides. It is more about acting as referee. Sometimes a debate might be over-heating and individuals getting hot under the collar. The administrators usually try other approaches first. In my experience they are not unreasonable people. But there are instances where it is best to shut the thread down. Would you consider tht an unreasonable step. What would your approach be if you were the administrator given conditions like this?
i wouldnt take sides and close it, or should i say, i wouldnt pick one side and contribute my arguments in that direction,and then close it
i 'd just close it or leave it be. more blood to the forum at least if its open

Sometimes discussions can escalate into flame wars or are clearly counter productive. At that point the best thing for everyone is to bring that particular thread to a halt. If, on the other hand the discussion is kept civilized and productive the administrator does not need to take action. There are certain expected standards of conduct we signed up to and w are expected to act accordingly.

Urban battles seem to be much more fun and settle with the game better (timeframe) ,at least to me. somehow,specially if you are playing the maps where there are few ww2 buildings and lots of tall new buildings ,it brings new atmosphere ,different from the ww2 one
those stripes on the road or lines are also a huge flavor/immersion factor imo (representing world in 2000+ ad)
it throws you into the world of today where 'fancy' new stuff and sounds of aircraft immerse you into the differnt kind of war
use of engineers or tanks to blow up the walls (tunguska aswell) also comes to mind
destruction of town (or picture after the battle) is also much more appealing
must admit that i appreciate BS more than before,cos i started playing urban maps
Tldr or suggestion : Play urban maps more (pbem or multiplayer generally), its fun
too bad there are no civilians,but ok,i guess world is not perfect
