  1. Thanks for your post. But it is absurd to receive critics like that and also in "the last road" they do not answer. They just critics and that is all. they have not answered at one argument. It is incredible. But how this guys plays at CMBN
  2. THE AXIS FLAGS INDICATES YOUR (MORE OR LESS) POSITIONS. CAN YOU SEE THE BLACK MAIN ARROW!!!!. THIS IS THE WAY YOUR VEHICLES SHOULD TAKE:SHOULD, BECAUSE IF YOU WANT TO SUICIDE IS YOUR BUSINESS. AND HOW CAN YOU ACHIEVE THAT? CAN YOU SEE THAT ON THE SECOND SET-UP ZONE (ON YOUR RIGHT)YOU HAVE GOT PLENTY OF ROOM TO POSITION ALL YOUR VEHICLES. THE ONLY WAY TO ACHIEVE IS TO PUT ALL YOUR VEHICLES ON THE SET-UP ZONE ON YOUR RIGHT (YOU DO NOT HAVE EVEN TRIED TO DO IT). IF YOU TAKE THE LONGEST WAY OF COURSE YOUR VEHICLES ARE EXPOSED LONGER . AND MOVE THEM AT "FAST" SPEED AT LEAST.I POSITIONED THEM IN ONE MINUTE.BUT IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO IT EVEN BETTER, WHAT IT NEEDS IS PATIENCE!!!!. MOST THEY GO TO THE RIGHT THE LESS THEY ARE EXPOSE, DOING A SEMICIRCLE. BUT IT WAS TO HARD TO THINK AT THAT OF COURSE. IT IS A NO SENSE MAP BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY.

As I can see from your image, it means that you Have not advanced at all or you have advanced at slow speed!!!????.incredible!!!. 12)This are comments completely out of any tactics, imagination, but the worst thing IS THAT YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BRIEFING AND YOU HAVE NOT LOOKED AT THE TAC MAP. UNCREDIBLE FOR A COMMANDER!!!!. PROBABLY I AM NOT THE BEST MAP MAKER BUT TO COMPLAIN FOR A COMPLETELY WRONG TACTIC DUE TO YOUR MISTAKES NOT MINE, IT IS SOMETHING THAT LEAVE WITHOUT WORDS. 13) Many missions of CMBN are very hard, so as you said they are with no sense (without making any comparison of course).

On briefing AND ON TAC MAP YOU CAN READ THAT THE AT GUNS HAVE TO BE TAKEN OUT ON THEIR FLANK!!!.HAVE YOU SEEN THE BLACK ARROWS!!!.NOT GOING IN FRONT OF THEM!!.FOR THIS REASON YOU HAVE GOT INFANTRY.ARE YOU AWARE THAT IN FRONT OF YOU THERE IS A MINE FIELD AND TWO AT GUNS!!!. IT IS USELESS TO ARRIVE IN FRONT OF THE MINEFIELD WITH YOUR TANKS, TO DO WHAT?. 2)YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY. Are you aware that you can move your vehicles during the set-up phase!!??. HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THAT PROBABLY YOU HAVE TO POSITION VEHICLES BETTER, ON YOUR RIGHT, AND TO MOVE AT "QUICKLY" SPEED SO TO AVOID PROLONGED EXPOSURE OR DO YOU THINK SOMEONE WILL DO IT FOR YOU??!!. You have just left your vehicles in their position, not even trying to make a curve, but just straight ahead in front of the MINE FIELD!!!.And you have posted even an image, and you should lead your men in battle!!!.Change game.Is not like "Men of war" Have you played the campaign??.How do you think to win in the mission "Razorbridge" or some missions in "the road to Monterbourg". 3) YOU HAVE NOT SEE THE TAC MAP!!. ON THE TAC MAP THERE ARE BLACK ARROWS INDICATING THE CORRECT WAY!!!.WHAT I HAVE TO DO, TO MAKE SIGN LIKE AT THE AIRPORT??!!. 4)it is EVIDENT THAT IN THE INITIAL PHASE YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW INDICATION, TO AVOID THE COMPLET DESTRUCTION OF YOUR FORCE. 5) IT MAKES ABSOLUTE NO SENSE TO PLAY LIKE YOU DO. 6) ON THE "VERY IMPORTANT" I SAID:"KEEP YOUR MEN ON THE MOVE AND AVOID VEHICLES SLOWDOWN". YOUR VEHICLES ARE AT STANDSTILL.WHAT ARE THEY WAITING FOR?.HOW CAN YOU JUST STAY THERE AND WAIT!!. 7)HAVE YOU SEEN THAT ON YOUR RIGHT THERE ARE OTHER TANKS THAT ARE NOT POSITIONED STRAIGHT BUT ON THE RIGHT SO TO SHOW YOU BETTER THE CORRECT WAY AND YOU HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO PUT THERE ALL VEHICLES. 8) HAVE YOU EVER IMAGINED TO TAKE THE WAY I HAVE SHOWN ON THE TAC MAP??!!!.IF I HAVE SPENT TIME TO DO A TAC MAP AND A BRIEFING PROBABLY THERE IS A REASON. 9) THIS IS ALL THE TACTICS THAT YOU CAN PUT ON FIELD??!!.TO GO STRAIGHT AHEAD OR TO BE WAITING!!! 10) ON BRIEFING AND ON THE TAC MA YOU CAN READ AND SEE THAT ON YOUR LEFT YOU HAVE GOT HEAVY COUNTERFIRE,ON THE CENTRE A MINEFIELD AND ONLY ON THE RIGHT YOU HAVE GOT A PASSAGE.WHAT YOU CHOSE, THE CENTRE.WOW!!!!.

  7. This time due to the homemade map's time consuming I have utilized a map designed by Willem (Dusty Road) that kindly put an empty copy at disposal at repository for everybody use. So first of all my thanks and credit for the design of the map goes to him (credit is also on briefing). I have imagined a sort of sequel - after the conquest by the US 7th armor div.- with Axis trying to retake (as often happen during WW2) the small village of Duron (I have called "Duron" from the first two letters of Dusty Road. Map has been very slightly modified just to add rubble,wreck,destroyed vehicles and building from previou battle, or for gameplay purposes (but you can hardly recognize it). VERY IMPORTANT: please take note that your men are close to enemies AT guns positions, so you will have all the time you need for the set-up phase, but as soon as you press the start button, you will be shortly under fire and losses will be inevitable. So keep your vehicles on the move and avoid vehicles slowdown.Look at the map carefully.It is not going to be a pigeon shooting of course. - CMBN+CW ver: 2.12 - 1 x US AI plan (Axis vs AI)
  8. I could not leave any more comments in repository. I am very sorry Nigel.I checked the map and you are right regarding the pioneer Hq.It was my mistake and it was not necessary,but it does not affect the map. It is the FOT that can call for air strike and with reduced time.While it is still true that:"I have not added pioneer pl.because they come with demolition charge and I did not want the player to use in the objective Fields where I wanted an infantry fight only". In any case many thanks to both of you for your comments and suggestions.A map can always be improved.

  10. First of all thanks for your replies. As I have said, it is a map under test and also to me seems strange but at the moment I have not another explanation, so as soon as I have uploaded the map I can send the save and the map at any who want to find an explanation.

  12. If I have understood Agusto agree with me, and there is not mistake.It already happen to me but I was not sure. Now I have no doubt and it is quite annoying. The image was taken from a save map of a scenario that is under test.So I perfectly know where all men are because I am playing as scenario author test and I think someone should try to fix it.

  15. Good afternoon, I did not know that an automatic thread had been open. Well, this my first map with this editor.The idea and part of the layout was taken from a map that I did for another game: the RTS Codename panzers phase one, but with all the changes needed due to the different mechanics of CMBN.So, I did not have to start from scratch. When the test was almost completed I have applied the patch v2.01 and so, due to the more high ROF and suppression of the HMG I had to do more changes and more test. When I started to test the map I had given to the Allies side a P-51 air support and I was enthusiastic to see the flak vs the P-51 but with my surprise and disappointment there was no fight.Unfortunately there is no unit that can fight against aircraft.So I was in doubt if leave it or not.At the end I decided to leave it first of all because you can complete the map without using it at all and second because it helps a bit, but you are not going to win with the only help of the plane. With this map I have continued to narrate a little story for Major Barnes, that has been ordered to defeat German troops located behind the bridge and all around Livarot. - CMBN v.2.01 - Map size 750 x 1952 - Allies Vs German AI - 1 x German plan

Hi JRMC1879, Well, from comments it seems that there have been a bit of changes, even in the let is says old campaigns (I think that is inevitable).Of course improvements are welcome, but I (in my opinion) would have preferred to have an AA unit fighting an on map plane than have has it is now.Less realism and more entirety.Well, to have both it would be the best:).

  19. Hi, I have seen that there are AA units, but it does mean that there are planes entering the map so to have a fight between them?.
  20. Sorry, I was not clear enough. I wanted to say:I would like to see a transport plane enter the map and see paratroopers launching and land behind enemy lines.I think It is another thing than have them appear.
  21. Good questions Dr.Fusselpulli. I hope to see more discussions about it. Of course I am not asking Battlefront to upset the mechanics and features of their game or to look at other games.CMBN is good as it is, but I do not see why we could not have a AAA (the right one not large-calibre of course) unit fight against a fighter, even if the latter can enter just few turns, I mean, I think that a good compromise between reality and game can be reached. I would also like to have the possibility to land paratroopers behind enemy lines.Maybe It was not real?.I think it would open new tactics and enlarge the playability. What do all of you think about it?.

I have never said that I like to purchase lots of off-map supports I was a bit disappointed in not seeing the air support but just the strip of the bullets.I think it would have been amazing to see it. I think that in any case aircrafts should have been added.If you make a map you should have the possibility to put it or not.If used with attention can be an add-on to the map.It is like scripting, in my opinion, it depends from the use that you do with them that makes the difference. I do not know if there is a difficulty from a mechanics point of view but I would have preferred have it than not.

Well, this is not a good news, and in my opinion it is like having 50% of a game that is not doing a good impression against Battlefront (do not get a wrong conclusion I like very much CMBN).And I also hope that they are going to solve soon the matter as a free add-on.   24. One doubt. but there is a unit that can actually attack a light fighter bomber in the game?.If I remember axies have not 20,30 or 40mm flak.Am I right?.
