  1. that's right 3 vs 2 platoons only axis are supported by:

    2x MG42

    2 x LMG42

    4 x SPW251

    2 x JPZ IV

    and Mortar 2x81mm

    while the Allies nothing.

The victory in 22 minutes was required fire bocage on the left flank and attack supported SPW251, the infantry in the center set without cover long did not fight.

Farm was attacked by JPz IV.

I updated the map to balance a bit more, I did not add mortars to the British because their mortar platoon was captured the day before.

  2. I played just your script and I have a few comments (critical).

The scenario is not balanced, axis has the big advantage, and the second reinforcement is going too far.

I would not recommend it to play H2H, a waste of time.

Playing as axis is difficult lose.

That's funny because I've played it both ways and got a draw because the British can easily hold out at either objective. Halftracks and JPz IVs can be taken out relatively easily, and the Force strength is 3 Platoons vs 2 Platoons which on a defensive in such an open area with PIATs, Bren Guns, and Enfield snipers covering with plenty of ammo in the jeeps in reserve is a well enough defense. Anyway's the research I had done said that a large force had been spotted by Dutch resistance, that force was later to be found to be KG Von Tetau. It's not supposed to be easy for the Brits, but the Germans still need to get across open ground, just sayin'...

  3. Finally thought I would try my hand at map-making and since everyone and their mother did La Fiere, ...

Hey, I believe that my La Fiere is the only one that was finished, with both sides of the causeway!

Have finished adding some final touches like flavor objects, building changes, and switching some low hedgerows to tall hedgerows, added walls, etc. From what I can tell the town is an overgrown green hell, which is probably pretty accurate from what I can tell.

Anyways, this is a interesting Scenario, I was actually thinking of doing this (or Azeville/Saint-Marcouf area.), but instead I turned towards making a certain Market Garden scenario (Hint: I asked about aerials for it awhile back). It's looking fine so far, the little things like flavor objects and building exteriors can go a long ways, don't be shy to use anything given to you to use. Looking forward to this, so don't disappoint!

I'm playing as the Germans in a PBEM.

Under "Objectives" you give the two main ones and "Other Objective" but on the map I don't see any "Other Objective".

Are the Germans supposed to know what the Other Objective is or is it one of the "unknown" type?

Also the Other Objective gives a point value "xxx Each". Are there more than one?

The tactical map doesn't show which direction the Allies will be attacking from and the Briefing doesn't describe it either.

The obvious is from the North and perhaps North-West but the Axis setup zone doesn't cover all the South and South-West.

Does that mean the Germans need to be prepared for an attack from these directions too? If not I would hate to freeze units in positions to block an attack from these directions that never materialize.

Perhaps, of course, the intent was to keep the Germans guessing?

If you feel you may give away a spoiler to the Allied side please felel free to email me at tramos1 "at" optonline "dot" net

Other Objectives should include the parameters, like enemy force percentage.

For the Germans it is meant to be difficult and as the German commander you are meant to guess. Sometimes there will be Americans flanking on the North and South side, sometimes you will get a more straight on attack, I don't want to give it all away though. For the Americans, you kinda have to feel around where the Germans are with scouts.

  5. Now I have a problem:

While testing I've noticed a American Sherman M4A1 tank not moving at all, even though that tank has an A.I. plan.

I had it grouped with some men, then I gave the tank its own A.I. plan.

    Still the tank won't budge.

    Can anyone offer some help?
