  1. Anyway, I just have to say this not only just to bump this thread, but because all this work done by Aris has changed the game so much for me. I mean, come on Everybody who has stalked these forums! Come out and say how much you love Aris' Work! Let's

Get him to come back and let him know how mu h we miss him!

I think everyone should go to the repository and at least rate his work 5 stars, then, if you want to, leave a comment explaining why you like his work and why you want him to continue!

CMFI is coming out! God help us all!

  2. Alright guys, yes it was a very stupid and an extremely callous "joke".

I was completely smashed last night (I'm 22) and thought it was the most funny thing to do, so yeah, again it was stupid and I'm sorry. I'm actually a Christian myself. Me and my brother are advid CM players and I come to this forum everyday to see what's new and to check to see if Aris has returned. Again, my apologies.

  3. From what I have heard, Aris has suffered a catastrofic heart attack and is unable to make any more mods. He is currently in the hospital and is praying that his fellow supporters are wishing him the best of luck for recovery. Of course he's catholic, but wth We're all aethiest so he prays that we at least hope he recovers. All Hail Aris!!!

  4. Hi, I just have a few questions.

I want to know the difference in armour thickness and slope on the Jagdpanther and the Jagdpanzer IV. Was there that much difference in protection at all?

Is the Jagdpanzer IV with the L/70 in this game?

What is the real difference between these two SPGs as in in-game performance wise?

What's a good website that shows WW2 tank details like armour thickness and slope? Wikipedia doesn't have enough details like that.

    Thanks for your answers :)

  5. I have tested out-of-contact spotting extensively and have never been able to produce a single instance of an out-of-contact unit spotting something and not showing it to the player. And at least one beta tester has said that the game does not do this.

    It is a mystery.

I love testing the game as it gets you accquanted with how complexly everything is depicted. It also helps you play the game better when you understand the way different units preform.

It definetly happened though and my Panzer IV was firing AP shells at a tank that wasn't shown in the map at all. Icons were not turned off either. Iron difficulty.

Edit: My Panzer IV was in C2

  6. In a PBEM I'm doing in a city map, my Panzer IV has a cover arc down a long cobblestone road that goes across the whole map in a straight line. My Panzer IV starts firing (without any target order) down the road, even though there were no contacts. (I selected the Panzer IV and every other unit on the map and still no contacts) My Panzer IV fires for two turns, then takes a penetrating hit on the lower front hull, injuring the driver. I order the Panzer IV to reverse behind a building. I found out from my opponent that his M10 was taking hits from my Panzer IV that he spotted and was firing at. My Panzer IV was in radio contact with my Company HQ which was also in contact with my Battalion HQ.

I'm thinking the game doesn't always show you what your units can see. Banemans' situation with his Stug getting destroyed before it could see anything seems pretty bizarre though.

  7. Sdkfz 251/2 D Halftrack---- How do I get this? Does it come with extra mortar ammo?

Sdkfz 250/7 Neu Halftrack---- Can't find this one either. Does it come wih mortar ammo also?

I have tried searching the forums already for the answers and have also tried different dates in the quick battle settings.

It would be great if these halftracks carried extra mortar ammo. That way mortar teams could keep up the pressure on the enemy longer. I'm sure that could open up more possibilities for defensive and offensive operations.

    Thank you for your replies,

    Cheers

  8. I'm going to third Lemonade's comment and say that I love playing TOW 3 and think it's the best in the series. Having WWII units will be a real blast to play and will give the game, for me, great replay value. I check for updates here almost every day.
