could you try hosting a tcp/ip game? Just to see if you get a "cannot connect to tcp/ip network " error. If should pop up right away. Got a friend who gets that error when trying to host, trying to determine if its win 7 or a setting. I still run XP....

So can anyone who runs win7 start a tcp/ip game or do you error out. Need to know , still trying to troubleshoot. By the way, playing against a human opponent is the way the game was meant to be played. Nothing harder or more satisfying.

Tried that , hard to help him, he is in Canada. Did open up 7023. Anyone else use win7 and can play multi player?

Got a friend that we play Barb and Africa corp all the time multi player. He up graded to WIN7, now he cannot host or join. he gets a 'cannot connect to tcp/ip network. We shut off firewalls, everything the same, cable modem, etc except for his new rig. Opened up all the ports, must be a win 7 setting I don't know about( I still run XP). When I host, he cannot connect either..
