I got it to work with 9.2. Only took me 4 days to finally play this game.

Dude, the guys from tech support mailed me with a solution. http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=86902&page=3 In that one they installed the 9.7 Catalysts (and the problem returned with the 9.8 Catalysts). However ATI/AMD does not list 9.7 drivers for the X800 series. The selections available are: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/previous/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx Earlier in the previous thread people mention that the 9.2 Catalysts worked IF you TURN OFF SHADOWS. That MIGHT be true of your current video drivers (turning off shadows). With the X800 ATI/AMD discontinued support in the driver for series and all earlier ones (and some later ones). So the 10.6 drivers actually should not support that video card at all. As you can see from the above list the driver support jumps around with 9.11 and 10.2 being the latest: Catalyst 10.2: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Legacy/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?type=2.4.1&product=2.4.1.3.13〈=English Catalyst 9.2: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/9-2/Pages/radeonaiw_xp.aspx?〈=English Please be sure to uninstall your previous video driver, reboot and then install the new (or older) driver (which had been previously downloaded). Tried 9.11, didnt work. Any other ideas? Really wanted to bloody play this game. I'm tempted to take it back and exchange it for Bikini Samurai Squad for my xbox.

Yeah, didnt work, but i did get a free trial of LOTR online for my trouble. Great. That link would be great, but i'll still see if i can find one.

My Graph driver ver is 8.5. Trying the 10.6 1st. If still no joy, it would be great if you could give me a link to one of the older ones as i cant find them. Thanks very much Spankfish

Thank you for your help. I'm running XP home edition, so 32bit i think. Odd that they didn't fix this in the patch.

I recently got this game. No issues installing, all went fine. Started the game, all ok, went through the encyclopedia, fine. Thought i would do some training missions to get used to the game. Loaded in, HUD fine, but the actual game graphics dont work. Im just getting like a kalidescope effect for all textures, everything ecept the little round unit icons. Tried all the patches to see if it fixed it, no joy. Im running a HP 2ghz PC with 1gb RAM and a Radeon X800 GTO graphics card. Drivers for it are quite recent. I have things like Rome:Total War and Medieval II running fine, HL2 is ok etc. Anyone any ideas or encountered this before? Ill try and get a pic if that helps. I have the UK Kalypso version of the game. Cheers Spankfish
