    What seems to be forgotten in some of the comments is the need for game balance. For instance, at the moment the Germans can make fighters pretty cheaply and also purchase quite a few AA units. If we were therefore to allow their AA units to fire twice then an allied strategic bombing campaign would become so much harder, if not impossible. That's the issue at stake.

    I agree that the game balance is the real need.

    But you can't have different rules for carriers in Europe or in the Pacific.

    The splitted counters ops ( ie aircrafts and carrier splitted) doesn't change the balance and keep the carriers much more usable and with a deeper strategy.

  3. Main Objectives

    1 The final mod version will simulate the full 1965-1975 Vietnam war at regiment-brigade-division scale.

    Maybe we will have some scenarios on the full map taking in account only one or two years or a special historical event like the Tet offensive or the 1972 offensive.

    2 The Vietnam war was as a political affair as a military affair, so the game will be heavily scripted with historical events ( plus many only descriptives historical events to paint the time feeling like the beatiful spanish civil war scenario).

    3 We have to do with the tools we have. So if anyone can have some brilliant thoughts to simulate the fluctuant south vietnamese national morale or any matters....

    1 I love this game.

    2 I believe this game can simulate some other modern conflicts, not only WW2 enviroment.

    3 I'm very interested in the Vietnam war history from many years.

    4 Is my opinion that post WW2 conflicts are much more interesting because they aren't so much abused on PC.

    5 If this mod will be successful I think we can force Hubert Cater to work in this direction:

    Post WW2 modern war conflicts.

    p.s. the next expansion will be a little step beyond, anyway.
