    Must say..

I fully agree with the game now having what is needed to become a classic. Last night I set up a battle using the QBG. Three Tiger I was to defend against 20 attacking Cromwells. On my first try, I did not coordinate the three Tigers and they were taken down one by one. On my second try, I let the Tigers support each other, and was able to completely turn back the attack, with only one lost track, and one damaged gun. In my opinion, the battle felt even more realistic than similar battles in the old combat mission games.
  2. Yes, I believe both precision and weapon effectiveness are reduced at the difficult level. I was easily able to win the first battle at medium level, with few losses. And the battle unfold in a realistic and exciting manner (IMO). I already look forward to my next battle, with the panzergrenadier regiment defending a village...
  3. I tried to join your game Spartan, but got connection refused every time I selected join game...
  4. BTW. I have fixed the problem. I changed the Regional Settings in Windows to USA instead of Norway!
  5. That was strange. I am a beginner and I was able to annihilate the first British tank charge, mainly by means of the panzer shreks and my assault guns. Actually, I was mainly watching the action, letting my soldiers take care of the battle themselves. It was fun observing the soldiers with the panzer shreks hiding in the ditches while reloading, then standing up and nailing nearby tanks...
  6. I did a clean install fom my DVD, but that did not help either. Since I have installed ToW on two completely different systems, and get the same error message: Unknown culture variable: nb I guess it could be caused by my Norwegian version of Windows. In fact nb is the code for my Norwegian Windows version. Has anyone experienced similar problems?
  7. I downloaded the uber patch from Filefronter instead, and installed that version. But it did not help. Perhaps I should try to uninstall Theater of War and reinstall it. But what then with the license?
  8. Hi! I have both a VISTA and XP installation of Theater of War on two different machines. On both machines, I get an error message when trying to start the Battle Generator or Mission Campaign Editor: Do not support environment name nn Parameter name: name Any proposals?
