Solved! It wasn't a problem with a unit way off map. I replayed the mission a couple of times and in the last and successful session I deployed my units at a more defensive position behind the village. When the mission failed to end I deployed my units in front of the village, too close to the farmstead. The first two objectives was completed after about 10 seconds. I think there is some serious problem with the scripting in this mission.

Thanks R33GZ for the answer. I thought this problem could be a bug, that’s why I posted it here. I have tried to line up everything i have left and searched the map from north to south and west to east and found nothing. The good news for you is that I run the Kalypso version, so the patch may fix this.

Is there anybody who knows how to end this mission? All the objectives are completed in the briefing, but there is still a number 2 marking on the map. It’s very frustrating because I can’t continue the campaign without ending this mission. Is this the last mission on the campaign?

I'm playing the allied campaign and have problems with the battle for Caen. I have completed all the objectives and eliminated all enemies I can found, but the game doesn’t end. I have also re-played the battle from the beginning but it doesn’t help either.

Have you tried just to click Autodetect and then go ingame (nothing is actually changed, but it works for me)?

What a coincidence , I’m not surprised. Sneaksie, can this graphic card be the problem? If so, is there any patch on its way in the near future which will fix those "crashes to desktop"?

Ok, I understand. Then you should avoid to end the battle with a lot of captured vehicles, just to not loose your veteran crew.

It wasn´t "advanced text services" , it still crashes. If I just make the following changes in the file users\video.ini before I start the ToW.exe, all the old saves och all new battles works again. Before edit: oldWidthResolution=1680 oldHeightResolution=1050 After edit : oldWidthResolution=1024 oldHeightResolution=768 An "easier" way is just to run ToWsetup.exe and press Autodetect. The bad thing is that this must be done every time before I start ToW.exe.

When I played through the polish campaign I noticed that some veterans just disappeared between the campaigns. Should it be like that?

Got this “Runtime error #3(trap) Please, contact vendor of this application.” error after I have finished the polish campaign. Then it crashes to desktop. I am starting to think that this game is in some sort of beta state, see my other problems with loading and saving games http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=66;t=000389. Is there any fix for this problem? It’s the Kalypso DVD-version of the game.

Good news: The saves are NOT corrupted, the problem is elsewhere. If I run ToWsetup.exe and press Autodetect every time before I start ToW, it’s possible to start any game and load any saved game again. But it’s importend to do this procedure before start of the game, even if nothing is changed. The game itself says that The Screen Resolution has changed, even if it has not. My screen resolution is 1600*1080.

It looks like eviltwin and I have the same problem. A correction to the above, it won’t help just to recreate the profile; I have to delete everything under the directory user before I recreate the profile to make it work. Another discovery is that if I recreate the profile by wiping the content of the user directory it’s possible to play again. It’s even possible to save and load again, but just in the same gaming session (it’s even possible to go back to the menu and start another game). If I end the game to the desktop, and restart it again, it’s impossible to load or start any game again.
