  1. I knocked out a sherman tank on a road with a hull down panther tank that was on the same road facing the sherman and the crew bailed out and started shooting at some of my infantry. I thought to myself "Oh maybe I can cause the knocked out tank to fully explode and kill the crew who are now out of LOS to my panther". I was able to target the sherman with the panther but when I started the turn the panther canceled the target on its own and refused to fire at the dead tank. Is there a way to force my units to fire on knocked out vehicles without using something like area fire?

  2. I'm not sure if this was asked before but will the AI target higher ranking soldiers if it has the opportunity to do so? Say I have a HQ unit out in a field, will the AI try and kill off the commander before any of the other units? I ask because I had a FO unit walk across a field and the only member of the unit to be killed was the FO himself thus rendering the unit useless, I thought it was really smart of the AI to take him out and wanted to know if it was intended or a fluke.

  3. If his base turned red he is either KIA or almost KIA and out of the battle for the duration.
Once the base is red can the status of being almost KIA change to being fully KIA by events still taking place in the game, example is if someone is down with a red base and is just critically wounded if a explosion goes off on top of them will it make them KIA then?

  5. While playing I sent a lone driver and HMMWV down a road where I figured he'd get killed. He got shot up and exited the vehicle and then went down with the red cross showing as he was wounded. He was laying several meters from the people who shot him and then about 30 seconds later he disappeared. Now I'm wondering, was it a bug? or did they capture him? I had LOS from another unit where he should have been but he wasn't there.

This brings up my bigger question, how does the game decide who is considered MIA or not?

  6. I doubt the current AI would do this and I've not played any humans in CMSF yet but I think it'd be great if we could target and destroy our own units. For example I dont know if the enemy can take over abandoned vehicles but if I have an immobilized tank or something I'd rather get the crew out and then destroy it to prevent the enemy from taking it over and using it against my own forces. If you can't take over enemy units then it doesn't matter. Just a thought.
