  1. Yair, You seem to have a good grip on whats going on so maybe you can answer this: If the bug is indeed with the ATI drivers, why does everything work perfectly on the Allahs Fist scenario? Have you tried that one? If not would you mind giving it a shot and letting me know if you have any luck? Or anyone else for that matter....although this doesn't seem to be a very popular topic so I guess it doesn't affect many people.
  2. Taki, I think your question has been answered. You have the same problem I have and evidently its caused by the ATI card having difficulties figuring out where you click on the 2d screen when your in a 3d view. I'm no more happy about it than you are but be patient. I still enjoy the game by using the top down view workaround. From the post above, it looks like there is nothing Battlefront can do because of how they programmed the graphics. Not exactly a perfect answer but in the grand scheme of things its not the end of the world.
  3. Thanks for the reply Yair Iny. Not really the answer I was hoping to hear though. Its a shame. I've had a lot of years of fun with BF games and I feel a little bit let down that I've purchased a game that isn't fully functional because its not compatible with a video card. Its not like ATI is some obscure manufacturer. I suppose I'll have to make do with the work around. It might seem like a small thing to bitch about but it takes away from the fun to have to keep changing the view point. I guess when I saw an ATI card listed on the "suggested specs" for the game that it meant it was compatible with ATI cards!!
  4. Thank you Yair Iny. This is what I have been doing. It does indeed work to use the top down view to select accurate waypoints. Its far from ideal though because it kind of interferes with the flow of things during a game. I hope that this is something that is going to be fixed in a patch. Can anyone confirm that it will?
  5. CommC..thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I tried doing that and it made the game crash the second time I clicked after starting a game...and did it every time after that. When I first start a game, the problem isn't too bad. It gets worse as I get further along.
  6. I think he has the same problem I mentioned in a separate post today. Taki, does it make it impossible to select certain units as well? Have you tried placing move orders with the map looking from above?
  7. Hi there. I have a problem I'm hoping one of you may have a solution to. I've searched the forum but the only similar question I found, noone had answered! To cut a long story short, I have a problem where I can't select some units. Also, when I do get a unit selected, when I click a destination for any kind of move/fire order, the destination always ends up offset from where I wanted it. The problem clears up when I issue orders from a top down view on the map but its annoying to have to keep changing views in the heat of the action. I have tried various combinations of resolution and the problem is there with all of them so I don't think thats causing it...its still there if I set the desktop to 1024x768 and set the game to run the same or if I let the game use the "desktop resolution". Here are my "vital statistics" AMD 64 dual core processor 4400+ 2.3ghz Windows Vista Home Premium 2 GIG Ram ATI Radeon x1650 PRO video card 19" LCD monitor. Running Battlefront version 1.02 If anyone can offer a solution, I would be eternily grateful because then I can get back to getting my butt handed to me by the Syrians in an efficient manner without having to zoom out the map, figure out what I'm trying to do, and then zoom back in to watch my little Kamikaze Lemming troops get mowed down piecemeal. Thanks in advance Pete [ August 19, 2007, 07:28 AM: Message edited by: navyldo ]
