  1. Steam is huge, it's the biggest digital distributor of games in the market. The amount of sales from the exposure of CMx2 would far outweigh any fees from Valve.

Heck was just reading about this today: http://www.bluesnews.com/s/113478/how-steam-saved-introversion

The problem is too many players don't care about DRMs nor monopolies.

As the Steam lovers don't want to buy non-Steam games, the independant games have to go to Steam and become dependant from Steam.

  2. I'm having a nasty close quarters fight in some dense woods against a dug-in enemy. Their grenades are absolutely gutting my men. (Um, literally.)

I launched one in the woods: The 'nade bounced on a tree and landed on the helmet of a mate 5 meters in front of me in a foxhole lol :) He went angry, but he should have been happy I didn't pull the pin out!

  3. Osama himself eventually admitted to the 9/11 attacks, which were a quite valid casus belli.

Nope. He said he was surprised it could be so spectacular.

So, as he had tried years before 9/11 to blow the towers, you think he said "yes it's me", but he didn't.

Either, he didn't say no, for US were advertising for Al Qaeda (prestige for his anti-america recruitment).

, you'd have to be completely ignorant of the situation not to link AQ with the attacks.

Weither OBL was a wanted peson is irrelevant, as this was a war against AQ and the Taliban who actively sheltered and supported them. Whether there was an arrest warrant on OBL is irrelevant in this context. And I doubt he wasn't officially on the wanted list anyway.

He was, but not for 9/11 attacks. That's your legal link, but it's not enough to be an evidence.

But in the end a nation ALWAYS has the right to defend itself against foreign aggression. The UN agreed this was a just war, NATO did too. What else would you require of a nation before it can take action against foreign aggression?

Knowing who really is the offender.

Really, what is your beef? Because your views are not supported by fact in any way, shape or form.

    Innocence presumption.

The US doesn't require a "legal case" for military action in Afghanistan against OBL, Al Qaeda and the Taliban any more than a "legal case" was required for the US to take military action against Japan after Pearl Harbor.

There were many evidences that the japanese were the attackers of Pearl Harbour. They had been clearly identified.

I try not to defend Ben Laden, but truth is the best for justice and peace.

  4. few nations have gone to war with better cause than the US in Afghanistan. Are you sure you don't have your wars mixed up there?

Are you sure Ben Laden is legaly wanted for blowing up towers in 2001? He is not, he was not legaly wanted when United Nations agreed the war. Afghanistan is the same fake cause as Irak.

If USA (and U.N.!) don't care about the laws, killing without evidence, why would USA craft a democracy in Afghanistan??

  5. It's hard for Westerners to understand the middle east attitude.!

USA has hugely helped the Talibans, instead of Massoud, against the USSR (Europa also nor did help Massoud).

Then USA, without evidence, invade Afghanistan (why United Nations followed the US???).

Why an afghan would like the talibans the US has put to power, why an afghan would like the US invading them after that?

This war is not the afghan people one, they will let talibans and americans die (and helping them die if they don't go away).

  6. You can play our eLicense protected games without internet no problem. You only need the internet to activate ONCE, not every time you run the game. You do not need any CD to play, either.

Ok. But, as we still need some cd to write the downloaded install program, I like having an 'official' box. So; I tend buying game dvd boxes in small shops.

    And I prefer having a localised game. I don't think e-games are.

  7. From my obseravations and play-tests 4 RPG on overwatching positions will wreck havoc, they can extablish LOS and LOF to most of your men.

That's why squads have not to hide: They must search actively:

see and fire first, as soon the RPG is pointing at the windows, else forbiddening to fire a second time.

I think personal aiming technology is very important here.

  8. Put your 2 MG on the roof (the HQ platoon is good where she is).

Put your 2 firsts squads on the roof, aiming far at the road.

Put the last one (near reds) to the building to the right, just under the roof, aiming to the right. They must be the sole injured/killed.

Never hide your squads (you have the technology advantage, don't want for the blank point range), else the last one sometimes when too much under supression.

Hurry your Strikers to fire mobs from afar, and just that: almost never more far (else they will be RPGed).

I succeded in having only one injured, no dead, nor destroyed Striker.

I think it's possible having our troops untouched.

  9. The only thing I can think of that might cause that is if a small patch of road was deemed impassible for some reason. The only thing that comes to mind is elevation. Steve

If it were impassible, it had to be impassible for the patches prior 1.10.

But before 1.10, the vehicles could stand on the roads: Then it shows these roads were not impassibles...

Or, maybe you changed all the maps for the 1.10, where you put invisibles walls in the middle of the roads? (including the Ambush Tutorial one, the sole I tested).
