I have tried using different names and then saving it but its still not showing in the battles menu, the only missions there are the default ones. I have no idea what im doing wrong, i have gone through every step in the battle generator and then saved and exit. If i go into the mission editor i am able to call up the missions i generated they are in the single missions folder. Oh well i guess i will try again after work tomorrow.

I have been dying to get my hands on this tool but im not sure what im doing wrong. I have made my mission and defined armies but i am stuck on the directory to save it to, at first i just used the default which was already in the field but when i loaded up the game the mission wasnt there. What path do i need to enter to make the missions visible. Thanks

Madmatt - After about another 20 mins it decided to work, the patch was an exe. I guess after tossing it around the memory for 20 mins it finally decided to activate the setup.

I have downloaded the torrent but once again i am having problems running the patch setup on vista 32. I right click on patch and then run as administrator but then it just hangs and all i hear is hard drive activity but no setup. Ooooo i do hate vista !!

So im still upto date then using TOW 1.4 ? I have even tried using one core but still the TOW icon wont let me create a profile.

WoW after leaving the setup going for 20 mins it worked but now i have another problem. When i start TOW using the TOW icon in the directory i get the menu screen asking to create profile but when i enter name nothing happens and if i do it 3 or 4 times it goes back to desktop yet if i select TOW 1.4 in directory it lets me create a profile. Whats the difference between TOW and TOW 1.4 im confused ?

Last year i gave my pc away to make way for a new quad core machine running vista 32bit and my battlefront version of TOW has been on a memory stick. After reading with great excitment for months that a patch will add a RBG and much more i decided to put the memory stick in and transfer TOW to my vista machine but after double clicking TOW setup the whole thing just hangs and i have to use alt ctrl del to get out of it. I cant believe that this wont work and with the patch iminent i am truly gutted, i have looked at the forums and read vista issues and wish i had never bought this stupid OS i have had nothing but problems with it. Looks like bye bye TOW as i refuse to pay for windows xp, Hello Linux

Please Include the battle generator, this is top of my wanted list and the one im most looking forward to. The wait for the upcoming patch has become long and tiring and i check the site twice a week for any news on this patch. The thought of having to wait for the add on to be able to have the random battle generator seems 5 years away so please include in the patch which would be like having a late christmas present thanks

If there is no random battle generator in the add on/patch im afraid an extra campaign and the mp being tweaked wont bring me back to the game.

I think TOW is a great game and with the multiplayer side of it being improved im sure it will keep people playing it for that reason. But what about the single player side of it, do you think a couple of dozen missions will keep people playing it and coming back for more ? i dont think so myself and im sure there are more who think the same. I was really hoping a RBG would be included in TOW, major dissapointment which has let the game down. This could of been one of the best but simply tweaking the multiplayer side of it wont do it for me, what this game needs is a battle generator to keep bringing people back for more not knowing what your gonna be facing in your next mission. As i have said before improve the single player mode and make it more playable, playability goes along way and two dozen or so missions is just awful especially when you have completed them.

And please add a random battle generator, its no fun playing missions you have completed over and over again. Thanks

Shiftz i agree i got steel beats pro about 6 months ago and it roxs although pricey its worth it, Only problem i had is that esim only accept credit cards but luckily enough i managed to pick it up on ebay and you dont see many of these floating around for sale so i consider myself very lucky. I have lost all confidence in TOW which looked a game with great potential unfortunatly the replayability side of the game has been left out and not included so it leaves you with a handful of missions. Im not sure if this will be addressed in a patch/expansion i know there is talk of the multiplayer being looked at but my guess is that the single player will be left as it is which basicly means game DEAD in my opinion. A random battle generator not being present in TOW made me decide that i will not be buying combat mission shock force as i was extremly dissapointed in TOW. Next two games i will buy, Football manager 2008, War Leaders looks good from what ive seen.

Well for me if this game doesnt improve its single player mode then i wont be playing it no more but going back to combat mission and steel panthers where i know you cant compare graphics but the gameplay and playability is 10 times that of tow. Sorry lads but i see this game going in the wrong direction like many others Have Fun
