  1. Anybody willing to answer this simple question? Can scrounged weapons be held onto throughout a campaign, or are they seized at the end of a mission? Thanks for your co-operation.
  2. If soldiers pickup small arms and scrounge ammo prior to victories, in their next deployment, are they able to use them? I know this is not the case with tanks, and before I buy the game, I'd like to know this, can't figure it out with the demo. Thanks.
  3. Thanks for the info. I still think it plays a lot like Close Combat 2: A Bridge Too Far, so remembering that I was wondering if there will be the option of placing smoke with mortars, or smoke canisters? Also, are small arms acquisitions transferable throughout a campaign? Say some Kraut Gefreiter really got his kicks from the M1911 and Tommy Gun combo of .45? Could he hold onto it and continually scavenge ammunition on each successive map to keep his supply up? I understand this is not possible with captured vehicles, but I was just wondering about the small arms side of things. The more questions all of you answer, the closer I get to purchasing the download! Thanks.
  4. Hi there, I'm V2, you might know me from such films as... OK, that was a Polaris firing in the '66 version of BatMan, but who's counting? Anyhow, as a veteran Panzer General who in Close Combat, went a Bridge Too Far, decided to jump ship from service on Battlefield:1942 (despite the terror he'd inflict with a No. 4, metal sights, [natch!] and a Stuka) in order to Return to Castle Wolfenstein such that he could see it too, become Enemy Territory. Ladies and Germs, basically I played the demo of this a few evenings and finally won, 6 tanks lost with 23 smoking Commie husks left over. I have to say I am somewhat impressed, although camoflauge and LOS issues seem to be a little less than stellar. This game REALLY reminds me of an upgunned Close Combat engine; aye, many trees were smoked with my rolled cannon fire, playing that one. However, being someone who played EA's "Wasteland" sometime around the time of Schwarzkopf pep talks, N.W.A. cassettes, trying to play Falcon 3.0 over 14400 when your 386 was running Stacker and so on, it is nice to see a game where you are allowed to distribute skill points, determine when units are promoted, switch out crews and arms and basically craft your army to fit your strategy. I guess I'm really vacillating about downloading this one and getting into it- Rush for Berlin was a dissapointment, never anyone on-line and limited multi-player maps. I'm almost thinking of giving up gaming altogether. I guess I need a pep talk to get me back into a game. Also, if I order the game by mail, will I get a nicely printed manual or something off a colour Xerox? Is there a fancy box? Or just a blank DVD? I think I'll just download it. Anyhow, out for an evening walk. I'll be checking back in to see any replies. Take it Eazy.
