I don't seem to be able to complete the "Going to Town" scenario (both the USMC and US ARMY version) because I cant seem to capture the government building even after I've cleared it. I've already been successful with the other two objectives, but i cant seem to capture objective Diamond and the scenario won't end.

Okay, it does appear that this is being caused by the AA/Multisampling being turned on. As long as that's turned on, even just loading the game will cause this glitch. I turned off AA, rebooted my comp, started the game again, exited and checked out a few websites (including the one above) no glitches.

So this is definately not my hardware being physically broke? But just something with OpenGL doing something to my video card settings after I exit the game? Don't think it matters whether or not I have any other OpenGL games to test with. Fact is, it is happening with this particular demo and I don't think it would hurt to look into if it's causing a bug with the latest Nvidia driver.

Have you tried the demo or the actual game? Keep in mind that the demo is a somewhat older version of the full game. Did you go to that exact URL? This is the mirror that i downloaded the demo from btw - http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/combatmissionshockforce/demo/37689.html I was also playing for about an hour and a half. Tonight i was playing "USMC Going To Town". A few days back when this first happened I was playing the training mission and US ARMY "Going to Town".

First posted about this bug here cause i wasnt sure it had anything to do with the demo - http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=95107 Okay, CMSF is DEFINATELY doing something weird with my IE 8 because this definately happens only AFTER I play the demo! Thing is, it only seems to happen whenever i go to this particular page, but definately ONLY after I play the CMSF Demo. Trust me, it's been a couple of days when this happened the first time and I did not touch CMSF demo since then. I've been playing plenty of other games as well since then. Nothing like this happened until tonight when I decided to play the demo again. Sometimes it looks worse than this with rows of squares on the main IE screen. Sooo does anyone mind doing me a favour? Can you guys run the demo(or maybe even the full game) and then go to the following URLs to see if it happens to you? You need to go back and forth between these two pages to see the glitch. If you do see it, it can be fixed by simply minimizing your browser then maximizing again - http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat470011a&rootCatGameStyle= http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/armySubUnitCats.jsp?catId=cat470012a&rootCatGameStyle= I really wanna buy this game with all the modules, but this glitch is making me paranoid. I wanna make sure it's not screwing with my hardware. My system specs - Core 2 Duo e6600 Nvidia 9800 GTX + (266.58 driver) 4 GB RAM WIN XP SP3. CMSF Demo GFX settings - Desktop resolution (1050x1680) AA ON Texture Better Game Models Better UPDATE Seeing graphical glitches on THIS very website as well now.

I was interested in buying this back in '07 but the performance of the first demo on my Core 2 Duo e6300 convinced me otherwise. That and reviews of the game where bugs and poor AI were mentioned. I have since upgraded and my system specs is as follows - C2D e6600 2.4ghz 4GB RAM Nvidia 9800 GTX+ 512MB Tried the latest version of the demo and the game seemed to run decently with maxed out model details and "better" textures. I didnt encounter any bugs so far. But I want to know if you veteran players feel that all the bugs and performance issues were fixed since 2007? Has the AI improved in any way compared to the first release?

Well I wasnt running the video while playing CMSF, I was watching the video afterwards. Also, was playing a few games all day today and so far have not encountered the same bug. My video card is an EVGA 9800GTX+. It's got a fan. There's also a 7 inch fan on the side of my case and is pretty close to the video card.
-
Well this is why I put this thread in the General forum, it's probably nothing to do with the demo. Could it have been caused by the video card being too hot? Now I was also letting a 53 minute Youtube video load in the background for about an hour or so. I only saw this bug after watching the video.

I dont know if the CMSF demo has anything to do with this, but after trying out the demo last night for about an hour or so my internet explorer started getting this graphical bug. Everytime I switch to a different page there would be these squares across the screen which looked like bits of the previous page. Sometimes they went away after closing a page and reopening another. This morning I'm not seeing this bug so far. But could it have been caused by the demo? I was playing it in max graphics settings btw.
