A new player, who's still learning. Haven't seen him recently.
I'm back from my vacation in Portugal
-
I afraid I can't make it tonight
-
;1080972']technically, yes. I only realized now that GMT has no summer time.
I suggest we play at 19:00 GMT, which is 20.00 BST (british simmer time) which is 21:00 German Mean Time
21:00 Dutch time (19:00 GMT, 20.00 BST, German 21:00) is fine with me ;D
-
About Wednesday: thats 20.00 GMT? That would translate to 22h german time (summer time), right?
Oups I am afraid so, I was still thinking in GMT +1, that probably why I was too early yesterday.

Yes. let's not. I don't want to end up in another Steel Beasts forum scenario like the one I talked about in my last post again.
Lol, another Steel Beasts player I love that game, to bad it doesn't work in Linux (with Wine):

Hm... unfortunately now I don't think I'll make it.
I'll be online at 2:00 EST though if anyone wants a quick game or two. Sorry real life has intervened again.
Was a nice match About those zebra textures; afaik only the geforce 8* series has problems. i'd file file a bugreport with the buntu folks.
-
Yep , me too
-
And Aniruddha, we already have a time for the Wednesday games, which is 7:30 PM EST, the original time. But nice idea with the European rounds.
Yeah I know, unfortunately that's around 2 A.M. here
-
That is great news! What about a Euro match on Wednesdays? How's 20:00 GMT?
-
I am on GMT + 1, and apparently the only EU player :'( I am also in favor for more games.

;1079779']And welcome to Multiplayer Zengentoo! (We know who you are )
Dang, my cover has been blown
-
I wonder how many active Dropteam players there are and where they're from. That way it might be easier to meet online (e.g. organize a match on Wednesday for European players). Please leave a message to let me know.

Great to have at least one server back online, does anyone know what happened with the other servers?
-
;1078785']I´ll contribute 5 euros or the dollar equivalent to any effort.
The sum of my DTserver experience is that we need bandwidth, as much as possible. Aniruddha, what kind of bandwidth could we get for 30 euros a month?
Ideally the server should be in western europe or east coast USA so that everybody can play with a sub 200 ping.
I just informed, these lines come at 1000mbit. And from what I understand there is an excellent connection (max 100 ping) from Amsterdam to the States
-
I am thinking of renting a dedicated server for Dropteam. I wonder who is willing to contribute (financial or material wise)? If 6 people would contribute financially we can rent a server for EUR 5 per month.
-
Still no servers?
-
On Wednesdays, we play starting at 7:30 M EST. Sundays, we always start at 3 PM EST. Welcome, and watch out for me.
Ok let me see that is 12:30 UTC and 00:30 in the Netherlands (where I live), Sundays is around 20:00 UTC (21:00 Netherlands). I think I can join on Sunday

For now I would be happy to know if there will be a WWII expansion or not.
That's what I would like to know, is there any news about this expansion?
-
Are people still meeting to play Dropteam? At which times it's best to be played?
-
I just bought Dropteam and I noticed that I had to enter a key plus username and password for online play. After the first update the key was already filled in?! I registered a username with that key but pressed the button too early and the wrong username got registered. So I registered again with the correct username. I wonder though how do I know if the useraccount settigns are correct?
-
That sucks, I just bought the game!

Try PCLinuxOS http://www.pclinuxos.com/ Ask any questions you might have on the (Dutch) forums or e-mail me. Give yourself a year to get used to a different OS (it probably will take shorter, but you should realize that you won't get used to it overnight). Most things look alike enough to help you help you on your way but are slightly different enough to get you confused.Originally posted by Elmar Bijlsma:Living up to the Dutch stereo type. TBH, I'm not running Linux yet. Too much hassle for too little pay-off. I'll switch over in a heartbeat when this changes, though.
Why PCLinuxOS? It works out of the box with everything configured properly. It is also the distro I use in my workshops to teach newbies Linux.
I wanna bet that once you understand the logic behind Linux you never want to go back

I've put a vote in for this one. I am dual booting at this point which basically means I don't play because I never feel like rebooting .Originally posted by Mies:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Aniruddha:

Update:
I have filed a bugreport here:
Btw, is it me or is it sort of a semi-Dutch thing to want to run CMSF on a Linux machine ?

I just logged in but there were no more servers? Is anyone still playing this game?
