  1. 1) Option to flee/cease fire (so you do not have to replay and can continue the campaign with your units)

    2) No units popping up in the play area (off map respawns) The engine can do it so why don´t you use it?? (a improvement compared to the CMSF engine)

    3) On map surrendering (like in CC series)

  2. Another thing. As the campaign progresses, the roster of available units become bigger and bigger. After a while it quite hard to pick out the guys you want in your "starting units" Could an option to remove units from the roster be implemented?

    Good idea

    I've added Retreat function request into our internal wiki wishlist along with most other suggestions.

    I hope they can change it in the patch!

    (I hate replaying missions over and over)

    In new campaign i didn't see units respawn in close proximity, they are arriving from map borders, so you'll probably be content. It was not used much before because of player would be bored waiting for them to arrive. Maps are large and infantry moves slowly
    I was never bored waiting for enemy infantery to arrive. (but i was annoyed about units spawning next to my hidden units)

    I would gladly wait for my own reinforcements to come rolling in from a off map area. Infantery could be loaded into trucks. I would even accept that some get toasted before they enter the play area!

    Alone the possibilety of off map spawn makes TOW more attractiv for me than CMSF.

  3. Nice too see you improve the engine!

    My wishes are:

    1) A retreat function (where you can go to the next mission while keeping your surviving units)

    2) I hate units popping up out of nowhere into the play area. The TOW engine has the advantage that it can spawn units off map and have them rolling in the play area. I whish the scenario designers would have used this consequently.

  4. I know the "ignore campaign loss" option, but you can only loose a mission when all your troops are killed and that´s the problem.

    For example if all your tanks are low on ammunition or immobilised and there is a enemy tank remaining.

    As it is now you have two options:

    1) reload the mission (i hate that)

    2) tell all your troops to disembark and commit suicide with the help of the enemy tanks until there is nowbody left and only then you are allowed to end the mission and accept you defeat.

    what I want is option 3:

    3) I recognize the stalemate and retreat my troops happy to have saved some of them and to be able to use them in the missions to come. All that even though I did not reach the mission objectives.

    This way it would be possible to play the whole campaign by playing every mission only once!

    In my eyes this would add a lot of tension. Your dead heroes are dead forever and will not be saved by a magic reload.

    Exactly!

    I want a more realistic campaign where you do not have to win every battle or loose all your men before you are allowed to proceed.

    A retreat feature (or endmission trigger cheat) would do the trick.

    This file is not really what I am looking for.

    I am looking for a way to be allowed to loose a battle while saving some of my units.

    This "user profile file" must have some random units and I would like to keep my own.

  7. Thanks for the patch!

    My game (and saves) are more stable and i like the improvements.

    It did not come as an surprise to me that I have to replay my campaign but I hoped for a new feature to retreat if a battle goes wrong.

    This way you could keep some of your good units without winning the map. As it is you have to play the same map again and again and again until you win.(if you do not feel like sending every soldier into certain death)

    Madmatt can we at least get a cheat to trigger the endmission trigger?????

    Are there any cheats to trigger the mission end?

    This would be help full until we get a new retreat feature in the game menu.

    Any information from the developers or moderators on this one?

  9. Yea it would suck to loose reinforcements on the way to the control zone, but hey it´s just realistic. In real war there is no guarantee for unscratched reinforcements.

    It would also be nice to see the reinforcements coming so you know you have to sit it out just a little bit longer before help arrives.

    On the other hand I think it is a real realism killer if a set of AT guns, tanks and infantry spawns right beside your taktikal placed high value unit, and you are ****ed before you know what´s going on.

  10. When reinforcements arrive on Map it is really unrealistic to have them appearing out of nowhere.

    (both your own and the enemy). The maps are big enough so why can´t we have new troops spawning in areas hidden to the players limited field of view and rolling into view while advancing?

    If they appear behind hills this should not be a problem.

    I think the game has such a potent engine and I think it is a shame if the scripted mission do not use it to full effect.

  11. I really miss a retreat feature in the game!

    I hate to send my veteran units into certain death even though I know I can not archive the mission objectives. I also hate to play missions over and over again. After a retreat it should still be possible to proceed in the campaign.

    For me this small feature would be number one on my patch wish list!
