Ok, possible to make scenarios where you can each pick your own units?

This should perhaps go in the Scenarios forum, but I don't know if anything is specific to CMAK. My bud and I are trying to create an exit assualt-size scenario where we both use the same designed map and pick our own units, but on the Quick battle when you choose the map, it seems to just assign flags. so it seems for QB's you can only use the map, none of the map context (weather, date, season, exit zones). Could design a scen that works, but you have to then pick the units for both sides. We want to each do the exit/assualt, but pick our own units for both scens. This possible?
