I've tried to install on Ubuntu LTS and OpenSUSE 10.1. In both instances, the installation appears to almost complete (the lovely graphic installer says complete) and then immediately crashes, evidently for lack of libslang-utf8.so.1 and possibly other things as well. Are you sure there are not other prerequisites than those noted on the Demo page?
