  1. Thanks, Stalin, appreciate the quick response, even if it wasn't the info I had hoped to hear! Hope to see you in the Skies once I can get my pilots past the Spitfire I. Chimpanic
  2. Hello All: Loving the Game -- and just had a few questions -- 1. Does a list exist somewhere of the Rank Points required for each promotion level, along with the percentage change of getting promoted once the points are earned? 2. Ditto for Medals ... 3. And one Noob query about bombers -- how does the AI determine which type of bomber you escort? And do you ever get the chance to play the bombers? Thanks again to all the programmers and designers who make this game so great. Pilot Officer Chimpanic, RAF
  3. Thanks for the welcome, Inigo! I'm fumbling away learning skills as I go. And yes, fighting the Japanese makes it more fun ... but I still feel the push-pull between historical accuracy and fun. After all, if we were just playing for fun, let the Brits fight the Yanks! Chimpanic
  4. Hello to all my fellow fliers, First, I wanted to say thanks to the designers of this wonderful game, which I just purchased. When I was younger I played the game 'Ace of Aces', and this is a great similar rendition. Also, kudos to the designers for the nice graphics and sound FX. Best of all -- the recordings you can hear in the game lobby! Only complaint -- why can RAF pilots in 1939 fight the Japanese? Now, a Noob query -- what skill sets are best for offensive players, and for defensive players? One of my RAF teams (all four began in 1939) is already in the Hurricane, so I am starting to think ahead to skill sets. Is it better to save all my XP for the skills, or keep spending on extra single cards? Again ... thanks to everyone. SEE YOU IN THE SKIES. Pilot Officer Chimpanic, RAF
